Hey there!
I’m Hailey—the heart (and hungry stomach) behind Pasta-tively Delicious. I’m so glad you’re here!
I created this space to share helpful tips for beginner cooks and outstanding recipes that even seasoned chefs will enjoy. I’ve had a passion for cooking ever since I was a teenager. From the moment I picked up my first spatula, I knew this was it—my thing.
Let’s Talk Food (Especially Pasta)
The first pasta I ever tried? Like a lot of kids: good old Kraft macaroni and cheese. I still remember little me, sitting at the dining table, waiting patiently for that bright orange bowl of comfort. I couldn’t get enough… until I grew up and realized: Wait, I can make this even better.
From there, my palate grew—and so did my love for spaghetti and (especially) meatballs. But not the frozen kind. I’m talking homemade meatballs. The kind where you take one bite and you know—these were made with love. (And okay, probably an egg, breadcrumbs, milk, and whatever else I felt like tossing in that day.)
But let’s be honest, food isn’t just about pasta.
Potatoes Deserve Love Too
As you get to know me, you’ll learn that I have several great loves in life: Jesus, my family, potatoes, and yes—pasta.
Picture this: It’s a cold afternoon. You’re not in the mood to cook, but you need a baked potato. A big, buttery Yukon gold or russet—whichever makes your soul happy. You season it, oil it up, pop it in the oven, and wait that glorious hour until it’s perfectly crispy and fluffy inside.
Potatoes are simple. But oh, the possibilities.
Don’t Forget Salmon
Yes, pasta holds a special place in my heart—but so does salmon. It’s not cheap, depending where you get it, but I promise: the salmon recipes you’ll find here are worth every penny.
I didn’t want to try salmon as a kid because I thought it would taste good—I wanted to try it because it looked pretty. That pink color, glazed in a beautiful sauce? Gorgeous.
And when I finally did try it? No words. Buttery, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth perfection.
Eventually, I realized what I truly wanted: to mix my two favorites into one divine creation.
Enter: Salmon Alfredo.
(Yes, that recipe will be on the blog. Don’t worry.)
What You’ll Find Here
Enough food talk for a sec. (Just kidding—it’s never enough.)
When you come to my blog, I want you to feel welcome. Like you’re curled up in your coziest blanket, favorite drink in hand, scrolling through a post—or five.
Whether you’re looking for answers (like “Should I use heavy cream, half-and-half, or just milk??”) or you’re just here for a lighthearted laugh, I want this blog to feel like your happy place. And yes—I’ll try to make you giggle. At least once per post.
(But don’t worry: there will be no puns. You’re welcome—or I’m sorry—depending on how you feel about them.)
Fun Facts, Anyone?
Let’s be real: cooking is messy. It’s trial and error. It’s making pasta so mushy it turns into glue. (Guilty.) It’s dropping an entire lasagna on the floor. (Also guilty.)
Someone I know once tried to make s’mores dip… in the microwave.
Spoiler: it did not go well.
We all make mistakes in the kitchen. But we learn from them.
I once burned milk—easy mistake. But now? I stir that stuff like my life depends on it.
Also, I eat potatoes. Like… a lot. (Have I mentioned that yet?)
Stay Saucy
