Back In The Kitchen: A Little Life Update

Hey friends! As you’ve probably noticed, I haven’t been very active on Pasta-tively Delicious lately. Life got a bit busy. But I’m back in the kitchen and ready to show you what I’ve been cooking up over here!

Where I Have Been

I know it has been a while since I last posted, so I wanted to give you all a quick little update about where I’ve been.

Recently, someone very close to me got sick, and unfortunately, that sickness only got worse as time went on. I wasn’t able to hold on to them forever, so a decision had to be made. I lost my best friend, my dog Stormi, just a few short weeks ago and needed a break.

Since then, I’ve been trying to navigate life all over again without her, and let me tell you, that has been hard. Harder than I thought it was going to be. Going through all those “firsts” without her broke my heart more than it was already broken.

After suffering that loss, I needed to take a break for myself. I needed time to take care of myself and spend some time with just me and Jesus. I needed my firm foundation.

I am still healing, but I knew I wanted to get back into Pasta-tively Delicious again. So here I am. Back at it!

What I Have Been Cooking Up

While I was trying to get back to normal life, that also meant getting back in the kitchen and experimenting again—not just following old recipes because I needed to eat. I mean really experimenting.

I recently had the opportunity to experiment with something I never thought I would use: coconut cream.

If that doesn’t spike your interest, I understand. It was actually a special request from someone (I’ll share more about that in next week’s post!). I didn’t know how I was going to make it work, but let me tell you—it worked!

I even had my brother try it, someone who hates coconut, and he absolutely loved it!

I’ll tell you one more thing about the recipe coming next week: the title.
